"Against stupidity the gods themselves contend in vain."
Friedrich Schiller, The Maid of Orleans, 3,6 |
"The most pious man can't stay in peace
If it doesn't please his evil neighbour."
Friedrich Schiller, Wilhelm Tell, 4,3 |
Influences:
- The idea that for my generation and for the following ones, there is nothing more important than
to create a united Europe in peace and freedom
- The civil, liberal and cultural traditions developed throughout centuries of
Frankfurt am Main, the old town of Fairs and Emperor
Coronations where I was born
- My Austro-Hungarian-Czech blood from my mother's side or the Viennese Blood obviously inherited
from my grandfather and my beloved Vienna itself with its
history, its tradition, its literature, its music, its art...
- The old and mostly revolutionary town of silk workers and gourmets,
Lyon, capital of the Beaujolais and maybe the most beautiful French town where I spent a lot of
time during my youth
- The humanistic education of the two classical secondary schools
Lessing and Gagern in Frankfurt
- The studies of Romance and Slavic languages and literature at the universities
Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe in Frankfurt and
Lumière Lyon II
At present:
- Programmer in a public authority in Berlin
- After having moved from Frankfurt to Berlin,
I explore the former and new German capital
- Principal interests besides the Belle Epoque: Cinema, music, literature, (European) football (fan
of the SC Freiburg and of
Eintracht Frankfurt)
